Ashlyn Miller

MSW, LCSWA

Do you ever feel disconnected from yourself — stuck in patterns you can't quite name, or carrying more than you know how to put down? Maybe you can see exactly what you need to do, you can even explain it clearly, but somehow you can't seem to turn that knowing into doing. You're not alone, and there's nothing wrong with you for feeling this way.

I’m Ashlyn- an integrative therapist, somatic practitioner, trauma specialist, and healing arts facilitator with over a decade of experience in holistic care. My work sits at the intersection of mental health, holistic living, and a deep respect for the mind-body-soul connection.

I believe healing isn't about being "fixed" — it's about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be, before it stopped feeling safe to be you. That happens through feeling seen, heard, and supported, not through isolation or willpower alone. I trust that we all have an innate capacity for change and growth — we just need the time, space, permission, and support to access it.

My approach draws on clinical training in mental health and social work, somatic experiencing, yoga and ayurveda philosophy, and nature-based practices. In session, this means I blend traditional talk therapy with body-based and holistic practices, working with both the nervous system and the deeper patterns and beliefs underneath it — because healing isn't just a mental process, it's a whole-person one.

Some of the other frameworks and modalities I draw from include internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, compassion focused therapy,
attachment theory, eco-psychology, and expressive arts.

I am skilled at work with folks navigating disconnection, low self-worth, shame, anxiety, and stuckness — including perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic overwhelm, procrastination, relational stress, and burnout — with a focus on how trauma shapes these patterns.

I don’t come to this work as an expert who fixes or controls. I come as a guide and fellow traveler, someone who has learned from experience, gathered helpful maps, and built a solid toolbox; who knows how to hold supportive space for the healing process to organically unfold in a way that is digestible, not overwhelming. I trust that you already have what you need inside you; my role is to help you uncover it and rebuild a sense of self the feels true to you.

I serve all identities and support folks navigating the world inside and outside standard societal norms.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading (poetry, philosophy, and historical fantasy), gardening, hiking, flowers, river time, a warm cup of tea, creating for the sake of creating, laughing and dreaming with friends, exploring mythology, deepening in my spiritual studies, and learning about the earth reverent practices of my ancestors.
